You know, just checking in. School starts a week from today, guys! Maybe you've already started. I would be jealous (yes, after all these years I'm still one of those who gets excited about classes), except that I get to start Stater training tomorrow...which is almost more fun than school...so I'm still satisfied.
There's not much new in Abbeyville.
The Orientation issue of the Stater came out today--you can check it at www.stateronline.com. I wrote a column for the editorial page--my first column ever--about "My first year." We were supposed to write about our first year at college, presumably Kent State. Well, obviously I didn't spend my first year at Kent State, so my column is a little different. If you read it, let me know what you think.
Anyway, you know you're getting bored when you start cutting your own hair for no reason. I gave myself bangs last week out of sheer boredom and a desire for a little something different. Of course I could have gone to BestCuts, but come on...poor college students, I know you hear me.
Alrighty then. How's that for a brief update on the nothingness of my life? Don't worry--the nothingness will turn into somethingness in about a week...or maybe a day, to be honest. But I thought I should update before I hit the "one month without updating" mark, which will happen in three days.
